Are you concerned with infant weight gain, milk supply, nipple pain, latching/positioning issues, plugged ducts, or mastitis? A comprehensive lactation consultation of you and your baby may be right for you. These visits are also ideal for individuals inducing lactation and require guidance after baby arrives, those wanting to relactate, and those who want to wean.

The visit will begin with discussing your primary breastfeeding concerns, feeding goals, and reviewing all relevant areas of you and your baby’s health and birth history that you will have provided prior to the visit via the client intake form.

I will then observe a feed if baby is ready to eat. Visit may include a pre- and post feed weigh-in if relevant to the visit.

I will provide feedback on adjusting of latching/positioning to improve the latch for your comfort and to try to optimize milk transfer for your baby.

I can provide hands-on assistance to teach techniques that are relevant to your case.

I will conduct an assessment of your breasts/chest to aid in identifying markers for issues related to milk production and supply.

A plan of care will then be developed, discussed, and a write-up submitted to you via the ChARM Health client portal within 24 hrs of your visit. Relevant resources will also be shared. A report of our visit will be sent to your baby's pediatrician.
